It’s important that we maintain a team of quality volunteers to administer our 4-H programs and work with our youth. We want the best experience possible for our 4-Hers, as well as for our volunteers which is why we have the following process. Please remember that you are not approved to volunteer with 4-H youth until ALL steps have been completed and you receive your WELCOME email.

________Background Check: You will receive an email from vendor "Sterling Volunteers" for an online portal that will run a Commercial Criminal Background Check, a data driven check using your social security number. There is a $15.00 fee for this service, paid for by the volunteer online through vendor "Sterling Volunteers." This background check will be required every three(3) years.
_________ Volunteer Orientation Training -Please watch this 4-H Volunteer Orientation Video and then complete the Orientation Survey. I will automatically receive a notification of your completion of the 4-H Volunteer Orientation Training Survey.
_________ Interview - contact the local Baltimore City 4-H educator(s) to set this up. It can be by phone or zoom.
_________Signing an Appointment Agreement and Position Description. Contact me to send them to you (this has to be done last). Drop off or mail the signed copy to 6615 Reisterstown Road, Suite 201 (Opposite Reisterstown Plaza, Next to Burger King, and DaVita Dialysis), Baltimore, MD 21215
